still having fun posting funk....but this time Im moving out of the Seventies into the 60s...aside from James Brown, this record hit me as the essence of funk when I first heard it when it hit my local radio station....the sound and the name of the group reeked (no pun intended!) of a band working the groove for a crowd in a tiny club with no air conditioning, playing off the dance moves of the people who are playing off the accents of the drummer.....I got this as a 45 with Pts.
