#stlwx #mowx #ilwx #stl The cold air is right on schedule overtaking the metro area over the past few hours. Lambert set a record high of 72° just before the front hit...now the temperature has dropped into the upper 30s and low 40s...and its still falling. Clouds will remain all night and there may be some drizzle and possibly freezing drizzle developing south of St. Louis later this evening and overnight. Most ground temps will be too warm for icing to occur. However, elevated surfaces may get a little slick late tonight if precipitation sticks around long enough...again this is SOUTH of STL...and more likely southeast of a line from Farmington, MO to Salem, IL. Monday will be windy and sharply colder with lots of clouds early...some clearing for the afternoon. Temps in the lower 30s at best!
