streaming the Thursdays parliamentary debate on Kenya pulling out of Icc n I stand to support, Hon Midiwo! in as much as the current motion has everything to do with the current case, do we think of the impact it will have on our judiciary? The act was passed 2005,three years later it was implemented! *the act houses the Rome statute which makes Kenya to cooperate with the ICC! Pulling out of the ICC will disarray the efforts made by our Judiciary to establish an International crime division and the criminal justice system which will make the ICC the last resort! but our legislators are busy n eager to pass the motion not knowing, its a throw to our judicial system! Article 2(5) of the constitution provides that the general rules of international law shall form part of the law of Kenya. Article 2(6) adds that any treaty or convention ratified by Kenya shall form part of the law of Kenya. we need the international law!
