“stunning getaway” 5 of 5 starsReviewed August 5, 2013 we have just had the most wonderful weekend at de Hoop Nature Reserve - wonderful music - Johannesburg philharmonic orchestra - 5 musicians comes once a year to de Hoop for a weekend of music - it is NOT to be missed next year. Katja Vinding Petersen gave us fascinating talk on whales and dolphins and then off to Koppie Alleen to see these magnificent mammals - this is a sight to be seen and they are there until November - well worth a visit ! then wonderful wine tasting from estates in Elim , truffle making with chocolatier Richard von Geussau , and high tea !! it was action packed ! the staff are so helpful , rooms luxurious and meals need Michelin star rating !
