such a bittersweet day. I said my good-byes to Dwaynes parents house today as I will not be going back before closing (Dwayne has to do his good bye tomorrow). Such a nice house that although we are thrilled to have sold, holds so many precious memories for both of us. His parents built it and were the only occupants all these years, it contained 50 years worth of memories of a loving marriage and family. Good times sad times...that house has seen it all. We worked really hard updating it and making it a house a new family will love and create new memories in, we did our best. As I walked around the last time today I could almost hear his Mom saying what a good job we had done, she would have loved all the changes we made. At the same time, I could hear Papa asking why did we have to change everything, he liked it the way it was! LOL! You would just have to have known Papa to understand. Anyway, we are done except for a couple more loads of stuff in the garage and some signatures on papers. That place has great karma, and we hope and pray it extends to its new occupants. It sure was good to the Whittaker family.
