.......take note.......BEFORE , I was wondering why NEW YORK is referred to as The Big Apple....I finally found the answer from my constant readings and research of insignificant items......this is the answer...In the 1940s, Robert Emmerich who played piano in the Tommy Dorsey Band, wrote an obscure song called , The Big Apple..The song was finally forgotten but a reporter named Walter Winchell, who liked the song mentioned in his daily column and on the air and he began referring New York as The Big Apple so, even the song was long forgotten, its title became the great citys nickname....this is only FYI--For Your Information....you may not care about it but theres nothing to lose if your add more knowledge in the power of your brain.... because Knowledge is POWER!...have fun, enjoy reading, ENJOY LIFE!
