takes a lot for me to have a rant...but here goes...late last night I watched a programme called F*** Off Im Fat on Really hosted by 21 stone comedian Ricky Grover in which he promoted fat as a way of living! he was complaining that there arent enough adjustments for obese people to live in the UK...it infuriated me that a celebrity was wanting the government to spend MORE money (yes, obesity costs the state billions each year) on altering public toilets, seats, rollercoasters, clothes etc to adjust to what he called fat needs. For someone in the public eye to be eating junk food on television whilst demanding we help those who struggle socially is utterly ridiculous! I am a firm believer of being comfortable in your own skin...but obesity is NOT healthy...promoting such stuff will only encourage us as a nation to get larger and larger! not once in the programme did he promote healthy living but had the audacity to say fat is the future!!! fat is NOT the future...media should encourage those who want to make a positive contribution, not promoting a way of living which is not only costly but very unhealthy! this is coming from someone who used to be over 20 stone and is a weight loss ambassador! Happiness and healthiness....BIG difference! Just as the newspapers today states we have spent £18bn on obesity in the UK this year...mental health charity MIND has gone into liquidation!!!!
