tattoos can be like a form of therapy,to help one remember a certain event,person or place.alot of people know this.what some people dnt know,is that its also a form of therapy for me.very few profesions offer the same sence of achievment,than tattooing does.i feel the shift as i cover over shit tattoos that has been haunting the wearer for years.i see the tears as i apply a memorial tat to a client,i even struggle through the tattoo,as i appy it,not on the same level.obviously.what u dont see,is the self dought before every tattoo,please,may my lines be strait an true,i ask my ancestors to guild my hand,so that i may not lose face,in thier eyes,and mine.no one knows this.most times,im more anxious than the client.i say a quiet prey befor every tat,not to god,not to io,but to myself,and my tipuna.every stroke,be clean,any wiggles,damn it.refocus.strait an true,even fade outs.is that a light or dark area.constantly having to stay a step ahead,because u cant go back.remembering the complete design,while staying focused on the area ur working on(if a tattooist ever gos damn it while doin ur tat,hell,if he even sighs a little moan.check the floor an pray for spilt ink.lol)but its on point till the final wrap up wipe.i hide all of this under a veil of confidence,i have to,uums an ahhs makes one look like a fool.and no one wants a tat from a fool.but this self dought brings out the best in me.u must understand.its a sheard journey,each trying to reach a mutual goal,but for different reasons,the end of that tattoo.if,at the finish line i can pull that tat of,damn.bag that shit an slang it.i feed of ur awe to fill the belly of the beast.my therapy for depresion.because i crave appreciation.a sence of purpose.its my drug.my natural high.thank u to all my family,friends and clients.u have all helpd me through some of my darkest days,and continue too today.but most of all,thank u to my beautiful children,who have been my drive.my purpose,my foundation,and my wonderful honey,my anchor,my reason,my backbone.
