thank you, Nathalie Kelly, for sharing this (she had a crippling brain injury 4 yrs ago and has been struggling just to be able to cope ever since. If there is a voice for waking people up to the realities of brain injury, its her.) ...This video is going around as a joke, and has upset me so deeply, I feel inclined to share it because it makes me realize how much our culture needs to wake up to the devastation of brain injury. This is so not funny for those who understand, it sent me into such a trail of wailing tears for this man. His life is ruined for a stupid ball game. He will spend the rest of his life in sheer horrifying hell every moment wishing he had died; and send his whole family into the horrifying hell of having to take care of him when he is not the guy they knew and loved. This makes me so mad that people dont take this seriously. The first blow to his head sent his brain rattling back and forth against the spiny sharp ridged sutures of the inside of his skull. That is what happens. It might have taken a few days for the swelling to further the damage. A quick eye exam will not see this. The second one furthered the already damaged and fragile brain. The rest.... just disgusting. His brain is scrambled eggs for life and no one cared. They put him in for more. Is this mans life really worth a game point? I am ready to scream. Wake up sports people!
