thank you for all of the healing wishes sent kens way. same day surgery is only as good as the post op team. hs shift kaiser sf failed to provide the splint and apparently broke protocol by sending him home without an anti emetic to control anesthesia reaction symptoms, for which his med rec shows him to be at risk. when he painted the ceiling with cranberry juice, they should have considered that action a clue! so, we spent the day in the kaiser ssf e.r. for i.v. hydration with anti emetic, and pain intervention. i think were on the righ path...ken has crawled into bed after successfully eating some scrambled eggs and jello, but without his mandatory new sling (which i am no longer fighting him about). hes full of codeine and morphine and compazine. i think it will be a miracle if he moves about. weve embarked on a new adventure...or, more precisely, another chapter in the tales of kens sports injuries. theres the thanksgiving ruptured achilles tendon surgery, the metatarsal shattered while playing with dogs and several many more.......... i am often pleased that i am clumsy...i fall but dont break due to years of practice!!! probably shouldnt bragg about that!
