If the dead are not raised at all, why are people baptized on their behalf? 30 Why are we in danger every hour? 31 I protest, brothers, by my pride in you, which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die every day! 32 What do I gain if, humanly speaking, I fought with beasts at Ephesus? If the dead are not raised, “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.” 33 Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.” 34 Wake up from your drunken stupor, as is right, and do not go on sinning. For some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame. 35 But someone will ask, “How are the dead raised? With what kind of body do they come?” 36 You foolish person! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. 37 And what you sow is not the body that is to be, but a bare kernel, perhaps of wheat or of some other grain. 38 But God gives it a body as he has chosen, and to each kind of seed its own body. 39 For not all flesh is the same, but there is one kind for humans, another for animals, another for birds, and another for fish. 40 There are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the glory of the heavenly is of one kind, and the glory of the earthly is of another. 41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory. 42 So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable; what is raised is imperishable. 43 It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. 45 Thus it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 46 But it is not the spiritual that is first but the natural, and then the spiritual. 47 The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven. 48 As was the man of dust, so also are those who are of the dust, and as is the man of heaven, so also are those who are of heaven. 49 Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven. 50 I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51 Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. 53 For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. 54 When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” 55 “O death, where is your victory? Pero cuando se dice: "todas las cosas le están sujetas," es evidente que se exceptúa a quien puso todas las cosas bajo él. 28 Cuando todas las cosas le estén sujetas, entonces también el Hijo mismo también será sujeto al que le sujetó todas las cosas debajo de él, para que Dios sea todo en todos. 29 Por lo demás, lo que quiere decir la gente al ser bautizado en nombre de los muertos? Si los muertos no resucitan, ¿por qué se bautizan por ellos? 30 ¿Por qué estamos en peligro a toda hora? 31 Yo protesto, hermanos, por mi orgullo en ti, que tengo en Cristo Jesús, nuestro Señor, que mueren cada día! 32 ¿Qué gano si, humanamente hablando, luché contra fieras en Efeso? Si los muertos no resucitan, "comamos y bebamos, que mañana moriremos." 33 No se dejen engañar: "Las malas compañías corrompen las buenas costumbres." 34 Despierta de su borrachera, como es justo, y no te vayas pecando. Para algunos no tienen conocimiento de Dios. Digo esto a su vergüenza. 35 Tal vez alguien pregunte: "¿Cómo resucitarán los muertos? ¿Con qué clase de cuerpo vienen? "36 Usted necio! Lo que tú siembras no se vivifica, si no muere. 37 Y lo que siembras no es el cuerpo que ha de salir, sino el grano desnudo, ya sea de trigo o de otro grano. 38 Pero Dios le da el cuerpo como él quiso, ya que cada semilla su propio cuerpo. 39 Porque no toda carne es la misma, pero hay un tipo de personas, otro para los animales, otra para aves y otra la de los peces. 40 Hay cuerpos celestes y cuerpos terrestres, pero la gloria del celestial es de un tipo, y la gloria de lo terrestre es de otro. 41 Una es la gloria del sol, otra la gloria de la luna, y otra la gloria de las estrellas, pues una estrella es diferente de otra en gloria. 42 Así es también la resurrección de los muertos. Se siembra en corrupción, se resucita en incorrupción. 43 Se siembra en deshonra, resucitará en gloria. Se siembra en debilidad, resucitará en poder. 44 se siembra un cuerpo natural, resucita un cuerpo espiritual. Si hay un cuerpo natural, hay también un cuerpo espiritual. 45 Así está escrito: «El primer hombre, Adán, alma viviente", el último Adán, espíritu que da vida. 46 Pero no es lo espiritual lo que es primero, sino lo natural, y después lo espiritual. 47 El primer hombre es de la tierra, un hombre del polvo: el segundo hombre es del cielo. 48 Como es el terrenal, así son también los que es hecho del polvo, y cual el hombre celestial, así son también los que son celestiales. 49 Y así como hemos traído la imagen del terrenal, traeremos también la imagen del hombre celestial. 50 Os digo esto, hermanos: que la carne y la sangre no pueden heredar el reino de Dios, ni la corrupción hereda la incorrupción. 51 He aquí! Te digo un misterio. No todos moriremos, pero todos seremos transformados, 52 en un momento, en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, a la trompeta final. Pues la trompeta sonará, y los muertos serán resucitados incorruptibles, y nosotros seremos transformados. 53 Por esto corruptible se vista de incorrupción, y esto mortal se vista de inmortalidad. 54 Cuando esto corruptible se vista de incorrupción, y esto mortal de inmortalidad, entonces se cumplirá la palabra que está escrita: "La muerte ha sido devorada en la victoria." 55 "oh muerte, ¿dónde está tu victoria? Oh muerte, ¿dónde está tu aguijón? "56 El aguijón de la muerte es el pecado, y el poder del pecado, la ley. 57 Mas gracias sean dadas a Dios, que nos da la victoria por medio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo. 58 Así que, hermanos míos amados, estad firmes, constantes, abundando siempre en la obra del Señor siempre, sabiendo que en el Señor vuestro trabajo no es en vano. tenemos que dejar que Dios cambie nuestro sitio cada día y es algo que tenga que ir de nuestra vida y tenemos que ser más como Cristo todos los días
