thankfulnees, day # 1 I worked tonight with Tidewater United Church of Christ - Virginia Beach (the church where I hold my membership), to prepare and serve a meal to the homeless on night #1 of the Winter Shelter program. WOW; it was such a humbling experience! It was also really fun to be a part of something with people I havent seen for a long time, and know that we made a difference. Sixty-three folks were blessed tonight, but I was the one that grew in my faith. Thank you God for blessing me tonight> Thank you Gos for allowing me to catch a glimps of another persont tired life,... tired of the oppression, tired of the misunderstanding, tired of being tired. Their faces were young and old, seasoned on the street and new to this ritual, educated and cockey, street smart and waery. We are all your children. Tonight, while they all rest in a safe, and comforable church fellowship hall, may they come closer to you and to us as we care for our brothers and sisters in Christ. Even though I didnt get home til really late, I think Ill go back and help tomorrow. Thank you God, for helping me view my sisters and brothers in this one big family we call church, in another light! May your grace and forgiveness continue to all who love you!
