#thankfulthursday Dont kill your miracle! I recently read the story of Lazarus and saw so many things I never saw before. Funny how that happens! I just want to point out a few things that touched me: 1) when Jesus comes to Bethany, Martha goes to privately whisper to her sister Mary that Jesus is there. I dont know about you, but if Jesus showed up in the flesh in my time of need I would I have been screaming!! Girl, Jesus is here! But she didnt. Some things can should only be shared with certain people. 2) when they get to the cave, Jesus asked the sisters to roll away the stone so He could enter and do a miracle. Now, I was thinking...Jesus could have moved that stone! Why would he ask them to move a heavy stone at the moment they were grieving? Faith without works is dead. 3) before Mary and Martha move the stone, Martha warns Jesus about the foul smell. It wasnt about the foul smell, Martha was still doubting. We make so many excuses when we doubt that God will do what he promised. Jesus only responds with: Didnt I tell you that you would see Gods Glory if you believed? He doesnt even address the smell because He knows that isnt the real issue. This story totally helped me in so many ways. Its hard to keep believing when you dont naturally see a way out. I encourage you to keep believing, and surround yourself with those who support you. I am thankful for my WOP community for supporting me when I need them! Xoxoxo, Joresa
