It topped $18 trillion last week. Before he became our president, President Obama said it was irresponsible to add $4 trillion to the debt. Since he took over, about $7.4 trillion has been added. We still will have an executive in the White House next year who promotes unsustainable spending, but I am hopeful we can make progress on the deficit with new leadership in the Senate..............3.6 Million in the fed work force and many above the Payroll tax limit ..........Mike Enzi , this Causes the deficit , $200 Billion per year Congress and others in government CHEAT the SYSTEM . Yes CONGRESS is full of CHEATERS and Mike Knows better ., this could have been fixed long ago.............No Pay above the limit PERIOD..........the $117,000 should be the GOV MAXIMUM WAGE .......and the Taxpayer should have a PENSION LIMIT and fund Gov Pensions the same rate they fund the Taxpayers..... 6%.......they should fund theres 94% , the taxpayer pays 100% for theres............Pat Quinn, soon to be former Illinois governor, will receive $136,000 a yr for his pension. Quinn has put into his retirement fund, over 20+ yrs a total of $178,000. If he lives another 20 yrs, he will receive over $3,000,000 in pension payments.......Hey Terry Branstad, if you are still WORKING why are you collecting a PENSION? Pensions are for RETIRED FOLKS ? ..................RAISE the PAYROLL TAX LIMIT ON GOVERNMENT EMPLOY ........why is it There Limited to Putting into Social Security and Medicare , when the TAX PAYER Should have thier PENSION LIMIT on what They Contribute to Gov Employ Pensions ......., Times this By 3.6 MILLION in the federal work force and Times this By the 20+ Million State and Local Gov Workers and it adds up to TRILLIONS .........
