the 100 who influence dinner was very disappointing this year. barely any trustees showed up compared to past years, no real ideas were generated that havent been said before, and i was stuck at a table full of people i see on a regular basis. although i am honored and grateful i was invited, i really dislike the selection process and think it should be open more towards the student body, especially since 100 students never actually attend. it also doesnt make sense to invite athletes and then have the dinner the same time as their practices. a bit unfair to them. at least they and anyone not invited didnt miss that much. the food was great though and everyone looked sharp.
