the 1967 shelby cobrajet GT-500 back in the day came with 4 motor options, the 351C,390FE,427CJ either single 4 barrel, dual 4 barrel or six pack. there was a special order version that cost 25 grand more that came with the GT-40 le manns engine the 427CJ with the webbers, they only made 600 of those cars which cost the consumer a whopping $27995.00 in 1967 which by todays standards was $300k the cars had gt40 suspension, 5speed gearbox, and twin 5 gallon nitrous bottles which was a 200hp boost once you het the Go Baby Go button on the shift knob. the car had a top speed of 191 without the bottles, rumor has it the car was never tested for top speed with the bottles cause after 205mph it became unstable to to keep it straight
