the boat is on my mind.......its amazing how something that can give so much pleasure, can also give so much grief.......July 4, we won the LEIR in our fleet and celebrated by letting a spinnaker line go over board and wrapping around the prop shaft.......now, more than a month later, still no boat with a working transmission......several forseen delays, then the company I bought the new transmission from sends the wrong part without which they wont warranty it....so instead of sailing this weekend, I will have to wait at least another week.......in the meantime, nothing else is getting done.......and theres a nasty leak in the deck.....I have asked four people to help me out with it.......so here I sit, not able to sail my boat....not really having the appetite to sail with anyone else.....with the mast out of the boat so I can haul the boat tomorrow to see if there is anything else going on underwater.......not sure if anything will even be covered by insurance, which I have been paying for the past 24 years.......sometimes having toys really sucks.......thanks for letting me vent......
