the concept of secularism has been vague in the constitution - TopicsExpress

the concept of secularism has been vague in the constitution ,somewhat confusing and also contradiction to its ideology. It has tried to imbibe the ideologies of all the three leader namely Gandhi which advocated equal footing and respect to all religion , nehru which advocated strict seperation of religion and politics and ambedkar who wanted special rights for minorities. With this would have have emerged a differentiated citizenship which has been rightly criticised by amartya sen that would only increase the discrimination. according to the rajeev bhargava it is the by product of circumstances prevailing in the society.
