the consequences of rhetoric, Ive often heard (as generally directed at talk radio hosts of the extreme conservative persuasion) is that it incites people to commit acts of violence. this was the case in the Gabby Gifford shooting (blaming Sarah Palin & Glenn Beck) or Oklahoma City bombing (blaming Rush Limbaugh.) interestingly, when the tables are turned, I dont hear rhetoric being used as a causation catalyst. I am, however, grateful that Eric Garners family members are against murder. They are sadly familiar with the pain it causes. Al Sharpton, and his ilk, however? In the interest of intellectual honesty, I no more blame them than I would Glenn Beck on the other side, because Im consistent in saying the criminal is responsible & no one else. Maybe now that the shoe is on the other foot, theyll see the folly in their propaganda. But I doubt it. #EveryonesLifeMatters
