the high road- a rhetorical metaphor utilized by the weak minded in place of the justifiable argument they either lack entirely and/or lack the intelligence to formulate. the high road is effective because it not only undermines logical argument, but also gives the high road taker an inherent feeling of superiority by having simply dismissed the problem at hand without any self examination or real effort put forth at all.
