I know our family has repeated this these verses many times, especially over the last few months. Often I have stopped here, missing verse 18 altogether. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. -Ephesians 6:18 As most of you already know The Lord made an incredible way for Carter to be accepted into rehab and for the insurance companies denial to be overturned. Thank you all for your prayers and support as this would not have been possible without them. The Kennedy Krieger Institute is affiliated with Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore Maryland. People from all over the world come to this rehab center for the very best pediatric traumatic brain injury rehabilitation. We have already met many folks who worked alongside Dr. Ben Carson, the well-known and respected neurosurgeon, who also wrote the book Gifted Hands m.barnesandnoble/w/gifted-hands-ben-carson-md/1113634608?ean=9780310214694 . We feel completely confident that Carter is receiving the very best care during this time of rehabilitation. God is so good! Carter has had a great first week at KKI! Even after less than a week of therapy his doctors and therapists have expressed their excitement in Carters progress. In the last week he has been sleeping through the night and awake all of the day. He continues to track us around the room, however now he moves his head along with his eyes from side to side. Until a few days ago Carter was not able to hold his head up on his own. He is now able to hold his head up on his own for more than 10 minutes at a time. Thank you God! Im absolutely amazed at the amount of perseverance and courage that the Lord has given to our son Carter. Please join us in prayer that the Lord gives Carter the strength and peace to fight his way back to all of us every day. Please also keep my family in your prayers, as I am back to work now and traveling throughout the week. Elaina and her Dad (Paul) are with Carter all day, every day and her Mom (Sharon) has been looking after our three other children.
