the long drive from the valley to tirohanga just to get lollies,the best adventures mishing to hermies hole, the grumpy bus driver who drove past our driveway and made us walk home in the hail, the rounding up of wild horses with my dad that i used to absolutely hate, the coolest treehouse our papa built in the giant willow tree, the times our city slicker cuzzies would come for the holidaes with their cool clothes and jump on the pig sties with us coz that was what we called fun. running from wild pigs in the maze, riding horses everywhere,running away frm my nan and tripping on the cattlestop,the delamare cup, the t.a.b because that ment dad would be giving us money all day long, kowhais garlic chips, trips to the pipi beds and the gurantee that you would see whanau you know, living on Stanley place and all the mischief my big sisters got up too... haha those were the days good and bad ones but now i get to create new memories here with my own kids and hopefully for the most part good ones this is our home and my kids will always know and be proud of where they come from, love opotiki x
