the more we thin the clouds the more the light shines through -surya Being there while getting there The goal is all along the path every step of the way to heaven is heaven Theres nirvana and enlightenment within some sorrow and delusion - a rumor we have to confirm the rumor for ourselves - surya In India they use the example of a grain of salt that would like to know how salty the ocean is. How can a grain of salt come to know this? The only way is for it to jump into the ocean, and the understanding will be perfect; the separation between the object of understanding and the subject of understanding is no longer there. -thich Nirvana(water-all/beyond), is the ground of being, the substance of all that is. A wave(phenomenal world) does not have to die in order to become water. Water is the substance of the wave. The wave is already water. We are also like that. We carry in us the ground of interbeing, nirvana, the world of no-birth and no-death, no permanence and no impermanence, no self, and no nonself. Nirvana is the complete silencing of concepts. we ride on the waves of birth and death, and we are free from birth and death. This insight liberates us. Nirvana is the extinction of all notions. Birth is a notion. Death is a notion. Being is a notion. Nonbeing is a notion. In our daily lives, we have to deal with these relative realities. But if we touch life more deeply, reality will reveal itself in a different way.
