the real problem defining this current racial divide is how the media recklessly incites animosity by not reporting all cases equally. If the black community, including much of America, only hears about those sensational stories involving white officers and black victims, what else are they going to believe? Sadly, there are countless white victims of police brutality, as well as those killed at the hands of minority cops, yet who marches or grieves for them? Dare I even mention the astronomical rate of black on black crime? These inconvenient stories are filtered out by the MSM because they do not fit the lefts victimization narrative. Furthermore, such irresponsible journalism merely empowers professional race baiters like Al Sharpton who continue to convince black Americans of a vast racial conspiracy by law enforcement. If this was the 1950s Id probably agree, but in todays age of extensive oversight and legal recourse? Not so much! The liberal media is as much to blame for the civil unrest enveloping our streets as any singular person or series of tragic events. If I may, when will they be held accountable? The truth is...there are good, foolish, and bad cops - just like those ordinary citizens from all sects of life. Therefore, it is criminally negligent to selectively choose the extreme examples of these confrontations - racially motivated or not - for the sake of cajoling the public in order to fulfill a divisive political agenda. Treat all cases with equal concern and due diligence, work tirelessly to educate all Americans about the true nature of police protocol, and America can once again begin to break these shameless ploys and stereotypes by fostering unity instead of ensuring endless distrust.( A post within... seems to clarify why we are seeing more & more of this)TY Scott Davis....
