the reason I prefer to spend most of my time in nature and with animals is because it has a feeling of authenticity to me that I rarely feel with humans. people are, for the most part, very artificial. they pick a role and proceed to play it. animals always live in the now, and respond with truth regardless of whether it projects an image they want to embody. earlier I saw someone post the question if I was not on Facebook anymore, would anyone miss me? I did not know her and I did not respond. but my first impulse was Girl, No. dear sweet gullible girl, all is transient. my second thought was why do you care? I know my name will be forgotten soon after I am gone. I do not want a stone with an engraving or anyone to cry. I want to be recycled back in to the mix and reformed at will. we all like the sound of phrases like we are one, but no one really wants that. everyone clings to their individuality and separateness as if there is some kind of honor in it. people like feeling special and set apart. I look forward to a future telepathic nature, but many people I have talked to about that actually fear it and dont want it. my feeling is that humans will continue to be robotic and fake until such a time when we share one mind. there are so many good people desperate not to let their bad thoughts show and so many bad people intent on maintaining that image regardless of their tenderness. and all those in between who mimic thoughts and ideas that align with their own preferred self image. original thought and imagination are all but dead. voicing a thought unfiltered is unheard of. so I spend my time laying in the grass, gazing at the clouds, letting my mind wander and then I run with my dog until I cant run no more. and I laugh and he jumps for joy because he loves when I laugh. and it all feels so real. no regurgitated memes and phrases. no pious philosophies, no social niceties. perhaps words themselves are what destroys authenticity.
