Watch this, and try not to laugh. faye, can you picture Carl Barron, on a date, with a chicken? When we introduced five of Australias top funny men to a rescued battery hen, something extraordinary happened... And it will melt your heart. Watch this 2-minute video to see for yourself. The brief was straightforward: create a TV ad calling on Australians to make the battery cage history. Enlist the support of much loved Aussie comics. And recruit the star of the show — a hen with the perfect mix of street smarts, wit and personality. The end result is captivating audiences across Australia. But its what went on behind the scenes that has everybody talking and saw five top blokes vying for the heart of one gorgeous soon-to-be celebrity hen named Little Miss Sunshine. Mick Molloy, behind the scenes Keeping Little Miss Sunshine awake was our first challenge — she was getting a little bit too comfortable in the warm embrace of Mick Molloy! Behind the scenes, Lehmo Her first on-screen kiss with Lehmo was one of those moments that even the most experienced director could not have scripted! (Hope the lip is healing, Lehmo!) Behind the scenes, Little Miss Sunshine In between takes shed check her feathers and happily strut her stuff for the film crew! Behind the scenes, Carl Barron Just seconds after this image was captured, our leading lady discovered that red roses taste even better than they look! (Lucky we had 11 more on standby!) Behind the scenes, Arj Barker Arj Barker tried serenading her with his own personal and hilarious rendition of So thats why you crossed the road! Watching Little Miss Sunshine perform as if she was born to be on the stage made it even more inconceivable that, not long ago, she was waking up each day in a cage. She had never seen sunlight. She had never known kindness. She was valued only for the cheap eggs she produced. Fortunately it was not her fate to live and die a battery hen and she now lives a divine life at Edgars Mission. But most hens in Australia who are just as remarkable, just as intelligent, and just as inquisitive as Little Miss Sunshine, arent so lucky. You can help change that. The key to them spreading their wings and having a life worth living — is us spreading the word! Its impossible to watch this glorious video and not want to put the chicken before the egg! Which is why we hope you will sign the pledge and make someones day by sharing this heart-warming video. As Kath and Kims Pete Rowsthorn says in our TV ad, she just wants the chance to spread her wings and live a little. Such a simple request. Please help us to spread the word — because together we can make cage eggs history. Lyn Lyn Lyn White Campaign Director P.S.
