the whole world is under the control of the evil one. (1 John 5:19) The great dragon was hurled down— that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. (Revelation 12:9) our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 6:12) Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out. (John 12:31) This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. (John 3:19) Jesus said, For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind. (John 9:39) The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. (2 Corinthians 4:4) the prince of this world now stands condemned. (John 16:11) The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devils work. (1 John 3:8) But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. (1 John 3:5) We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. (1 John 5:19) What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us (1 Corinthians 2:12) You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. (1 John 4:4) offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect Will. (Romans 12:1-2)
