there are lots of photos taken last pilgrimage but this one is very memorable..I was fascinated with the lovely picture of the Blessed Virgin Mary and one of her best pictures came from an italian photograph (sorry I don´t know his name). Fr Josof Slavko wishes to have a picture which is nearest to the beauty as described by the visionaries. This italian photographer should produce a photo of her. The guy searched from different churches and he found this one in a small town of Bosnien-Herzegovina a few kilometers away from Citluk (Medugorje). Fr Slavko was satisfied and from that time on, the picture of the Blessed Virgin Mary is used in all cards and books written about Medugorje. How it came to this statue?..the story went like this...the pastoral priest is so poor. He do some farmings to meet some ends. He was longing to have a Virgin Mary statue in his church so he sold his 3 cows and went to Rome. He bought this statue and it is now in his parish (story told by one of our italian guide Rosina).
