there are many sides of it. could be a political practice on misinformation. how powerfully effective are we to redirect the minds of people and check whether we are effective tools of lies and deception. Noam Chomsky calls it the culture of terror. it simply starts at the level of misinformation. you just sit on your desk and post lies and find out how you can get consensus from the rest of the populace. and then cloak it as a beneficial tool to keep others from danger when it is only a simulated lie. the ultimate effect is a confusion on what is scientific bases or simply a speculation as an excuse to lie and deception. this is what we should hate as a civil society.
