there are tons of producers out there that are incredible at mixing, mastering, and making their tunes sound as best they can. There are also other producers that are incredibly musically gifted and have a great ear for melodies and chords. Theres one quality though that I believe truly makes a producer stand out above the rest and can be applied to any kind of music, and that is restraint. The ability to decide to not add something can sometimes be just as important as deciding to add more. #thoughtsfromthebong
