there is a school of thought saying that a colony of ants , having a collective brain the size of a human brain, could have feelings. this makes me wonder if fire ants are not really mean, but are just unhappy. ive been hanging out near a mound near my driveway and complimenting each one I see. I have also planted a few flowers around their mound. so far, the results are inconclusive but they do seem to be smiling more often
