there is danger when we liken ourselves to ancient biblical characters ... when we lie to ourselves that we are being used by God in the same way prophet x way or apostle y was dag! that the same spirit.that was in operation in them is now.at work.in.us dag! that we.are capable of seeing the very same.phonomenon they saw for instance the.prophet elijah.saw.ontop of.mt.carmel a cloud.the.size of.a mans hand.and prophecied.rain dag! then we visit the same.region.on a.clear sunny.day and look.over the same spot as elijah.did.and swear on.a.stack.of.bibles that we can see the very same.cloud formation dag! we might.as.well be.interested in proving.we can attempt.the.same.feat.and call fire from heaven.and leave wood that has been soaked wet witk ten.tones of.water.bone dry dag! what the bible say.that we should in no way think.of.ourselves more.highly than.we ought to but.let each.of.us think of ourselves.with a sober mind dag! that if.we take the scripture out of context and teach others to do the same we will be called the least in the kingdom dag! that no one.should let.the.pen.bleed over.the same.text.and add or subract even the least stroke of the pen dag! that God will not.take.it lightly those who mislead the least of these children dag! that it were better for him to.have a mill stone tied round.his neck and he be tossed into the sea dag! so what is our remedy drive? that the lord is.patiend and long.suffering not.wanting any to.perish bute to the saving,knowledge of.the word dag! but ladies and gents lets not.take his kindness for weakness dag! a holy God would pour his wrath and demand justice dag! :-*
