there might be someone with a salt cedar in their landscape... and down along the rio grande some folks have the athel tree....salt cedars have taken over and choked most western waterways, so there was a search to find a natural control... the beetle seen in this photo... along with eggs and larvae was the result of the research locally, and last year began attacking the dense thickets along Monahans Draw. There were a number of them released in Big Spring about 8 years ago...
