things that are different here in Russia: people can smoke inside buildings/restraunts. people do not have common courtesy at elevators... they dont move to let you off the lift and try to shove u to get inside. people do not smile, they are not as friendly and do not greet strangers as we do in the USA. people are polite and almost always say please and thank you--er..puhjalista and spacibo. these are merely my observations and in no way intended to disrespect or dishonor anyone.
