this coming from the industry that kills nearly 200,000 each year by their own account and upwards of 700,000 by others. marijuana, even if inefficacious, is completely benign and has never killed. something the medical profession cannot say about the highly profitable big pharma drug treatments they administer. the good news here is the growing public awareness of the profit-above-all motive driving the industry, which when the smoke clears will find itself completely discredited and irrelevant. the regulatory colleges have indicated that they have concerns about patient safety and will be keeping a close eye on doctors who do prescribe the drug. They are telling us to tread very gently. So if you are about to authorize access to marijuana you better really have the evidence that shows that it has some beneficial impact for your patient, because if something untoward happens you will be held to quite a high standard.
