this day 44 years ago Jimi Hendrix left us. His music never will leave us. Im so grateful for being introduced to his music when i was very young. In kindergarten my big sis told me, hes left handed like us- & for whatever reason, that immediately made me feel like he was my brother somehow. in middle school i took guitar lessons & begged my dad to string a guitar upside down for me (like Jimi). in high school i wrote a poem for him called elegy 42-70 that was published in our literary mag. After college i moved to Maui & still he was with me- I could feel the Rainbow Bridge~ this song, Pali Gap, that is in that movie & named after a spot in Kauai is one of my all time favorites. No voice, just Jimi flying on his guitar.
