this is a powerful piece, and it illustrates why i am working on the Berkeley VS Big Soda campaign. why Berkeley? because it is one place this campaign MIGHT actually win and set a precedent for corporate accountability in this country, as one step of many in the work towards food justice. the American Beverage Association (funded by Pepsi & Coca Cola) has poured 2.3 million dollars into confusing a large number of voters enough to vote against the measure on Nov 4th. we dont have that kind of funding so instead of plastering BART stations with ads, we are making theater and sharing info on the streets. East Bay community, do you have thoughts on this issue and how we can get the word out this week before the election? i am still new to this area, so feedback is much appreciated, as well as a heads up on any events where i could share info about it. here is the website & some videos if you want a quick update- berkeleyvsbigsoda/videos Cely Belle Pandora Thomas Sparlha Swaby Marc Bamuthi Joseph Sarah Glasband Priyanka Pathak Solange Jorge Liam Flynn-Jambeck Cece Carpio Saqib Keval Calvin Williams Ashara Ekundayo Bryant Terry Eli Jacobs-Fantauzzi Ambessa Negus
