this is a short video of LUCKY my 16-17 yr old dog. this was a good day for him. hes a scoundrel when you try to get his heart meds and lasix in him, he doesnt jump for food anymore so i crush his pills and put him in food, but no matter how good the food is lately, chicken, chicken livers, turkey, yogurst (dont ask abt peanut butter, he doesnt like it) and ive tried cheese. but the last few days hes barely eaten anything for me and just lays on his warming pad all day. he has arthristis and is now having trouble coming up stairs when he goes outside to poo, he barely makes it, sometime me or mom have to go pick him up, cant stand to see him struggle. praying he will perk up abit, hes done it before, like this video shows. my other dog CHILI is the same age and also has heart and kidney problems and sometimes turns away from his found, but he has the will of a lion and he fights for everyday. lucky is not an alpha dog and has always been the one with the sweeter heart but less vigor. he is my soulmate dog and i just want him to live forever. like i said, praying he will perk up now and eat.
