this is my opinion. confrontation for the purpose of social justice in urban environments is a trap. by supporting food distribution, transportation, and political infrastructure in cities one is feeding the military industrial complex; regardless of their intention. until people are able to live in self-sufficiency of food,water,shelter, and society; they are dependent on others to provide. Why fight for control safe and healthy city? because many people dont have the option to leave. but is that an illusion? why cant people leave? there are so many reasons why. and this makes me sad. I wish I could offer a place for them to go, food to eat, water to drink... maybe someone can. But people like the city.. they dont want to leave. they want to change it to be better. and theyre willing to fight for it to be better. Does anyone remember the scene from disneys alice and wonderland when they smoked the monster out? Alice is having a lovely time in the house until the monster gets bigger and bigger and bigger until she is strong-armed from the building. She then adventures onward while the monster becomes tangled in the house and becomes immobile. The white rabbit comes along and tries to smoke the monster out, but this does nothing. THE MONSTER IS STUCK. time to adventure onward. theres infinite possibilities of what humans can manifest, why limit our space to a bunch of sand castles stacked- where there are overly-aggressive police and overly greedy powerholders. it would make me very happy if there was exodus. i think it would make a lot of people happy. it would be hard at first. we need people to reteach us lost skills to support ourselves. then we can be free. i recognize my privilege... sitting behind a laptop at an ecovillage. i am not self-suffiecient.. but i want to be. and i want to help others be too.
