this is sent to me by one of my good friends anyone in chemical industry including me,,,,have any explanation or answer on this.. Chemicals help increase the productivity of the land??? Food is for either human or animal consumption. What you eat determines what your health will be. Feed chemicals to the land, air, water and plants and get your food with dangerous amounts of toxic residues in to body and you store them, weakening the physiological functionality and ending up with so many diseases. You are making money at the cost of natures pureness and the health of people. What we learn as agriculture is not what Sinhalese people used to follow before the advent of chemical pesticides, wormicides, fungicides, herbicides etc. and chemical fertilizers. We had a unique agricultural system/ technology that worked in harmony with the nature. We learned the English way which destroys the world messing all the natural cycles up. Ruining the consistency of nature is a crime you will never be forgiven. Feeding the world with toxic junk is a crime. I studied Biotechnology, a great way to develop new crops and animals but I have given it up because altering the nature and speeding up the evolution artificially is wrong. It does man kind no good. You need money but earn it using harmless ways and means. The technology you are offering here is English. What we were taught and what the agricultural dept follow is the devastating agriculture developed by multinational companies like Monsanto during its Green Revolution. They next grabbed Biotechnology. I did a masters Molecular technologies at University of Peradeniya, Post Graduate institute of agriculture too. But thats it. I feel shy I studied those wasting my time and energy. So wake up...Learn traditional Sinhalese cultural practices. And stop selling Chemicals if you have a something called a conscience.
