this morning, i had the pleasure with visiting with one of my elderly clients for about an hour while I was making some changes to her benefits for her. she was fondly retelling the story of how she met her husband, at a church speed dating program. she described to me an evening in which the daters were numbered and had 8 minute increments to ask each other questions and chat, and then you could write down whether you wanted to date them or pass. if they marked date for you as well, the pastor would be notified and he would let yall both know you liked each other, and then you went on a date. that way, no one was embarrassed and the feeling of rejection was removed as much as possible if someone didnt like you back. so basically, she met her husband on tinder.
