this morning i saw some posts on facebook and twitter which stirred me up. bakit ANDAMEng ayaw sa aktibista? bakit maraming negatibong komento laban sa mga pulang aktibista? many of the most awesome people i know who have moved mountains in their different arenas actually draw their history from being activists, marching sa kalye, yelling their hearts out, dala ang mga bandila... people like Behn Cervantes, Oca Francisco... when i was an activist, i was fortunate enough not to be called these expletives i now see against activists. it was even the reverse. people would come up to me after a room-to-room stint and tell me "tama yang ginagawa niyo, salamat, ipagpatuloy niyo" baka dahil ang issue noon ay ang napakataas na tuition fee increase dahil sa STFAP? o dahil ang issue ay laban sa base militar? ........ oh wait i do remember being told by a former chairperson of the USC "pwede naman kayo makipag solidarity with the urban poor, pero kailangan niyo bang mag mukha at maging amoy urban poor?" hahhaha. siguro galing ako ng Payatas non???? pero seriously, whadda heck all these anti activist rants? please explain in not more than 5 sentences (10 pts) hehehe
