this program aims to pursue the universal principle of cooperation among cooperative, advocacy of the ICA which not only effects economic and business cooperation, but also that of a social support mechanism to provide services and reach out to those in the lower economic threshold of the community and most especially those belonging to the cooperative sector. description: the program intends to cater primarily to brother cooperatives and member entrepreneurs who wish to revive and/or enhance their business operations in terms of economic and social performance to the community and the clientele they serve. coop admin and governance: cooperatives are encouraged to communicate with SCGEM Board or Management to discuss the details or itinerary of activities of their proposed visit or lakbay aral. such activity shall be conducted in a manner whereby SCGEM shall be given ample time to prepare for the accommodation, presentation and sharing of best practices and also scheduling of key persons to meet the group. product linkage: cooperatives, the business sector or private enterprises may be allowed to present their products and services to the SCGEM Board. while the business is aimed at generating revenues, SCGEM shall continue to advocate the social and economic impact of the product or business to the members and the community.
