this report from turoa sums up today nicely.. Lift facilities are OPEN today. The Nga Wai Heke and High Noon Express are now CLOSED for the day, the Giant and Movenpick chairs are ON HOLD due to an increase in wind strength and poor visibility. This will be constantly assessed and updates given as changes occur. The weather looks a little adverse for the next couple of days. the morning was hopeful clear skies moderate winds..=lifts are open but the express had a mechanical fault until 10am, winds picked up about 9.30 am and were very cold, still good visibility, then about 11.30 the front hit ,visibility went and by 1.30pm lifts were on hold ,only the parklane and wintergarden running....a very cold day but snow conditions were surprisingly good
