this week well be shifting over from our current velusion webstore program to shopify. We are HOPING that this alleviates a lot of the problems so many people seem to have on our website with various error messages and endless loops trying to place an order. The website itself should not look that much different but were hoping its going to be a more seamless and simple experience searching and buying our products. Yesterday I ordered a POS system for the Bakers Guild Cafe that will also run on shopify. It will arrive later this week. Mike Jones put in an order for most of the items he will need to send people home with cups and lids and straws and to-go packages, etc. etc. Ill be in the cafe this morning when we open at seven to send Mike Jones off to get a few more things he needs. Mike worked brewsburg saturday night serving up our pizza, then he and I stayed up till two with Billy Hall yakking, arguing and laughing about what a bizarre unlikely company we have here. Then Mike came in Sunday to do a ton of prep work and has been basically running around like crazy to make sure the cafe is workable even as we try to source more local fare and equipment he needs. Im afraid by the time we have our official grand open, hell need a week off to recuperate. Our official grand opening is still scheduled for Wednesday, November 5. Were hoping by that date that well have most if not all of Jef McGreevys art work we commissioned for the cafe and everything else we will need in place and operating smoothly.
