thought id turn laborious, and sometimes boring `tapestry` technique on its head, and use painting techniques, using perspective, light, movement etc. instead of using just diagonal 1/2 stitches, im doing running stitch overlayed with padded satin stitch and gobelin for the sky. the satin stitch gives the foreground a 3D effect, and brings the pic forward, and as with painting, the further back something is, the paler the colour, whilst the closer, the darker the colour. will post a photo when ive done enough of it, but the finished size is 35x45cm so it may be a while.
