time/2891180/kfc-and-the-pit-bull-attack-of-a-little-girl/ It absolutely disgusts me that Time allowed such a one sided article to be published. Charlotte Alter makes an awful attempt to be unbiased and fails miserably. Did you know Pits are nicknamed the Nanny Dog? They used to be brought in as the trusted caretaker pups to watch over kids (Yahoo News). My little nug of a Pit, Rosie, is not violent, nor are any of the other Pits I know. My Pit loves to give kisses, snuggle, go on walks and be pet by complete strangers. Our neighbors have 3 small children and my pup loves to be pet by them and has never shown aggressive behavior toward them. Alters article states- “Every kind of dog is neglected and abused,” Clifton agrees. “And not every kind of dog responds to the neglect and abuse by killing and injuring people.” My cousin, Sara has a Pit whose background is somewhat unknown, but I think it can be assumed he was abused and neglected. He lost one of his legs, was rescued and is the sweetest dog I have ever come across, and I know any person that has come across her pup would agree. I understand that Pit Bulls being as smart as they are can be made into victims of irresponsible, cruel peoples behavior- people who train them to display vicious behavior, BUT SO CAN ANY OTHER BREED OF DOG. I hope people can start to educate themselves before discriminating against an entire breed of dog (that by nature is loving, loyal, and brilliant). #PitbullsAgainstTime #DontBullyMyBreed #LoveMyPit
