tips on how to keep your shit together when you are depressed: 1. always remember that you are not alone, there ARE people who do feel like you, there are people who care and will try to help! 2. try to get some type of professional help, it may sound bad but it helps out a lot 3. understand that antidepressants and other medications can only do so much, you have to try to get better also, find the path you want to go on 4. find some type of activity you liked to do in the past and re explore it or maybe try something you have wanted to before that you just didnt get around to 5. face a window as much as you can, it may sound silly but find something beautiful you like to look at and just focus on it 6. remember that it is OKAY to cry, you will feel so much better getting it out than you will holding it in until you cannot any more 7. try to not be around negative people as much, they have an effect on you also 8. depression will lie to you, it will try to tell you what others think of you but all of the negative things are not true you are A M A Z I N G 9. forgive yourself, blaming yourself for everything does not help, you do not need to feel horrible about everything, everyone says and does things that they regret, it is okay! 10. Let things go, letting go isnt the easiest thing to do, but it will make you feel a lot better than holding things against people, etc.
