tired of seeing this and hearing the riders mom as the car driver to think of what he might have done differently…….it wouldve gone much differently if her son hadnt been riding at 100mph!!! Im all for awareness campaigns for car drivers because they come into my lane almost daily now as they check phones, text, eat, drink, smoke, and apply make-up……but I also know that I am accountable as well. Even an aware driver is not expecting a bike to show up at 100mph. I wont even try to say I dont get into triple digits on a somewhat regular basis….but I do choose my spots carefully when I do it. I can say that if I get hit at that speed, I will accept the part my speed played in causing the accident. Yes, please look twice for motorcycles and put your phone away and stay in your own freakin lane….but riders should also take responsibility for their decisions as well.
