tmd.go.th/en/daily_forecast.php Distribution On Jun 21, 2013 General Situation at 10:00 AM local Time At 03 UTC (21 June), the tropical depression over the northern part of the South China Sea was upgraded to tropical storm “BEBINCA” and estimated to be about 500 kilometers southeast of Hainan Island, China or at latitude 18.5 degrees North 116.0 degrees East with maximum sustained wind about 65 km/hr. This storm is moving northwest with speed about 15 km/hr. It is forecast to move across the Gulf of Tokin and will make landfall over southern China on 23 June, 2013. This storm is affected to the North and the Northeast of Thailand and more rain is expected in the areas during 2-3 days. The strong southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand cause more rain and isolated heavy rain over the western portion of the Central, the East and the upper South. The strong wind waves are expected 2-3 meters high in the upper Andaman Sea while shore line of the East has about 2 meters. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats in the upper Andaman Sea keep ashore until 23 June.
